New York, New York!

Laura and I decided we needed to see New York City during the winter holidays so we made arrangements to stay in Manhattan for a long weekend and try to see as much as we could. We arrived Christmas Eve and we lucked out. The weather was a record 72*, followed by 68, 65, 62 and mid 50’s. We stayed within a block of Times Square (crazy) at the Sanctuary hotel, (nice, super quiet). We went to see “Phantom of the Opera”, 5 thumbs up! Radio City-Rockettes, had a rickshaw  ride through Central Park by “RoccoD’Moroccan”. We walked 25 miles in 5 days, ate at Lady Gaga’s family restaurant  “Joanne Trattoria” just west of Central park, Excellent!  We walked “the Highline” walkway, saw the 911 memorial, took the “Circle Line” boat tour out around Manhattan and got to see the Statue of Liberty. We saw a lot, but also still missed a whole lot as well. another day, another dollar. We’ll be back .
